Bookkeeping Salary

My title
Bookkeeping Salary:

Acknowledging the fact that not all the bookkeepers charge a fee on the hourly basis, the salary is bound to differ from one organization to another and from one individual to another. If one looks at the statistics provided by the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics, it can be found that between the years 2006 and 2016, there is going to be about 12% increase in the employment opportunities of bookkeepers. These statistics also suggest that about 2.1% of the total U.S jobs are made up of the bookkeeping jobs.

Average Salary of a Bookkeeper as Per Statistics

The statistics taken in the year 2006, suggested that the average salary of a bookkeeper ranges from $24,540 to about $37,780. The highest salary bracket found at that time was $46,020 although the lowest one came out to be $19,760.

Bookkeeping Salary as Per the Experience

The experience factor plays a big role in the bookkeeping industry as this can be clearly seen in the huge difference of the salaries. Any candidate who has less than 1 year of experience has an hourly salary of $9.30 to $13.51. The ones who have been in the industry from the past four years are getting $12.16 to $17.24 per hour. Bookkeepers who have the experience in the range of five to nine years have an average salary of $13.86 to $19.50 per hour.
The ones who have the experience more than ten years and less than 20 years are having average salary of $14.55 to $20.54 per hour. The ones who are having experience of more than twenty years have an average hourly salary of $14.85 to $21.62.

While looking at these salary trends, it can be said that the bookkeeping salary is very much dependent on the experience and various other deciding factors such as education and capability.
